Eli beats his dad to Leo Award!

Eli Bennett Leo Awards

Eli Bennett beat his father for a Leo Award last month! Him and his dad, Daryl Bennett, were nominated in the same category, Best Musical Score in a Feature-Length Documentary for his work in Believe: The True Story of Real Bearded Santas.

It was the first time in Leo Awards history that a father and son have been nominated in the same category! Twenty years ago, Eli's dad won the first ever Leo Award for Best Musical Score in a Feature Length Drama when son Eli was nine years old. How cool is that.

Eli says 'Blessed to have such talented and incredible parents who have inspired, encouraged, and taught me to dream big and achieve my dreams and it's because of you that I can stand on stage and accept this award!'
