Q&A

If you had a time machine, would you travel to the future or back to the past?
If I had a time machine, I would definitely like to go back in time. I would like to drink and gamble with Mozart. :-)

If you hadn't become a musician what do you think you'd be doing right now?
My father and grandfather are cinematographers. Before the clarinet, my first instruments were the SLR cameras, the exposure meter and the video cameras. I grew up on National Television Studios in Turkey. I could probably do a job in the visual arts.

If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?
I wish my hands had healing power. I would like to cure every disease with my hands.

Ecesu Sertesen

She started her clarinet education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory with Feza Cetin in 1998. Ecesu Sertesen was invited to Poland, Katowice in August 2021, and artist held a masterclass with 30 participants, performing five concerts as Buffet Crampon Artist.

In September 2018 she made Max Bruch Clarinet & Viola Double Concerto Op88 recording with Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna under Howard Griffiths. CD will be released from SONY. Young talent violist Kyoungmin Park, who plays at Berliner Philarmoniker, was her partner on this album. Orpheum Foundation which supports young talents on the world stages supported this project. The CD released on 2019 October.
